Logan Saw Snow!!!

Logan has talked daily about snow. He wants to see snow. We told him that next year we'd go to Pennsylvania for Christmas, and maybe he would see some then. It just doesn't snow in Georgia that often.

Well, today Logan was one happy little boy. As Logan said, "This is the coolest, bestest day in my whole life." It snowed!

OK, now I know it wasn't a snow like you'd see up north. OK, so it wasn't a snow like you'd see in North Georgia, even. LOL But, it was snow. And then sleet. But, at one time it was snow.

Well, anyway... Logan was thrilled.

Colleen loves her baby dolls. Until this Christmas, she has mostly only had Logan's old toys to play with. Well, she has toys now, and she is a little momma to her babies.

The Car Ride Home

Yesterday we drove up to my mom's house for a birthday party. My cousin and his wife had their daughter Lilly's birthday party there. On the way home Colleen was just talking away. Patrick said, "She's doing a tune to something." So, I start paying attention to the babble in the back. We hear Colleen saying, "De da ball, De da ball, de da aw da way." I immediate start giggling at our 19-month-old singing "Jingle Bells." She heard that song over and over again during Christmas as it's one of Logan's favorite songs. It's also the tune that Elmo sings to at the end of Elmo's World, so she has lots of exposure to the tune. Both Logan and Colleen love music, so I am sure there will be lots of songs coming from the back.

I am working on learning how to add pictures to this thing.. so here are some random pictures I thought were cute.

Logan and Colleen thought it would be fun to get in these plastic containers and let Daddy drive them around the house. They had a blast, and Patrick was tired and sore by the time they finished.

**Colleen loves to talk on the phone. Right after dinner one night, she got hold of Patrick's phone. What you don't see is in the other room, I had Logan call her, so Logan is trying to talk to Colleen, and all she is doing is smiling. Eventually she started speaking in her own little babble... it was precious. I wish I had gotten a video of it.

**And in the next picture, well... there's no doubt about it that she loves her daddy. Colleen was leaned over to give Daddy a great big smacker!

**And last, but not least, is Logan. We went to Tarpon Springs for lunch the last time we visited Dani and family in Tampa. This was the first time he tried calamari, and he really liked it. We didn't tell him calamari actually is, though. LOL

And there you have it. My first attempt at adding pictures. I will figure out later how to do it and make it pretty. LOL

Welcome to the "D" Family Blog

Why the "D" family? Well, I figured since at school we are known as Mr. D, Mrs. D, Little D. and Baby D. that the "D" family was appropriate.

I don't know what people find so hard about saying "Deabenderfer." LOL

Actually, I think the "D" family is cute... and I like the nicknames some of our co-workers have adopted.

So, what's the purpose of this blog? Well, mostly it will be to keep family and friends updated as to what's going on with the "D" family. Logan and Colleen do something new or funny on a daily basis now. I will be updating it as often as I can with new pictures and thoughts.

I wish I could say that this is going to be the wittiest blog around, but those who know me know that just isn't true. I am not that funny. LOL So, enjoy my attempt at humor, and don't make too much fun of me.

Stay tuned for family pictures and updates. I am on my way out in just a few minutes, so they will come later this weekend.

Thanks for visiting!
